  • Works in both directions, corrective and preventative: it softens the lines you already have, and slows the movement that carves new ones.
  • Natural is the whole point. We dose to soften the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet while your face still moves the way it should.
  • Botox injections can be customized by treatment area, facial anatomy, muscle activity, and aesthetic goals.
  • Quick treatment with minimal downtime and results that can last up to four months.
  • Adults bothered by expression lines such as forehead lines, frown lines, or crow’s feet
  • Patients who want subtle softening of facial lines while maintaining natural expression
  • Adults interested in cosmetic Botox for areas such as a lip flip, chin dimpling, or neck bands when appropriate
  • Your provider will review your health history, medications, facial anatomy, and treatment goals to determine whether Botox is appropriate for you
  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines between the brows
  • Crow’s feet
  • Bunny lines
  • Chin dimpling
  • Vertical neck bands
  • Lip shape / lip flip
  • Lower-face muscle definition

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Daxxify are the four neuromodulators we inject. All four relax the same muscles. The differences that matter are how quickly each one appears, how long it holds, how far it travels from the injection point, and how its units are counted.

  • Botox. The most studied of the four, and the one most people mean when they say the word. It holds close to where it is placed, which is what you want between the brows and around the eyes. Results usually appear in three to five days and hold about three to four months.
  • Dysport. The fastest to appear, usually in two to three days, and it spreads a little further from the injection point. That suits the forehead and other broad, flat areas, and results can hold up to five months.
  • Xeomin. Filtered down to the active molecule alone, with none of the accessory proteins the others carry. It matters most for the small number of patients whose injections stop holding over time.
  • Daxxify. The longest lasting of the four. Median results run about six months, and some patients hold longer. It is stabilised with a peptide rather than human albumin, and its units are not interchangeable with any of the others.

What Botox Injections Are and How They Work

A GENEVA Med provider injects Botox into a reclined patient forehead lines

BOTOX COSMETIC IS AN FDA-APPROVED INJECTABLE THAT TEMPORARILY REDUCES MUSCLE ACTIVITY THAT CONTRIBUTES TO EXPRESSION LINES. Botox injections work beneath the skin by temporarily reducing activity in targeted facial muscles. As those muscles relax, expression lines caused by repeated movements such as frowning, squinting, and raising the eyebrows can appear smoother.

At GENEVA Med, your provider evaluates your facial anatomy, muscle movement, and aesthetic goals before selecting injection points and dosing. The goal is to soften lines while maintaining natural facial expression.

Botox works best on dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement. Lines that remain visible at rest may also involve changes in skin quality or volume and may benefit from other cosmetic treatments in addition to Botox.

Botox is also used therapeutically. If you are considering it for chronic migraine, jaw clenching, teeth grinding, or excessive sweating, see medical Botox in Alpharetta.

Topical numbing goes on first, and we let it work.
Your provider walks you through how dosing is planned. Turn the sound on.

Personal Attention

Is Botox right for you?

Cosmetic Botox may be appropriate for adults who want to soften expression lines or address specific facial concerns without changing their natural expression. Your provider will evaluate your facial anatomy, muscle activity, goals, and health history before recommending treatment.

The lines that show when you raise your brows, frown or smile are made by the muscle underneath, not by the skin on top. Botox quiets that muscle so the line has less to form against. BOTOX Cosmetic is FDA approved for moderate to severe forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet in adults.
A Botox lip flip uses a small amount of product around the upper lip to relax targeted muscles and subtly increase the amount of lip that shows when you smile, without adding filler volume.
Botox can also be used cosmetically to soften certain muscle-related concerns around the nose and chin, including bunny lines and chin dimpling. Your provider will determine whether these areas are appropriate based on your facial anatomy and goals.
A small dose above the upper lip softens how far it lifts, so less gum shows when you smile broadly. The shape of your lip does not change.
Some adults choose Botox when expression lines begin becoming noticeable rather than waiting until they are more established. There is no universal age to start treatment, so the decision should be based on your facial movement, concerns, and goals rather than a specific birthday.

Botox injections may be used cosmetically in the masseter muscles to create a softer or slimmer-looking lower-face contour in appropriate patients. Your provider evaluates facial proportions and muscle size before determining whether cosmetic masseter treatment fits your goals.

Botox Cosmetic can temporarily improve the appearance of vertical platysma bands that connect the neck and jaw. Your provider will evaluate the pattern and strength of the neck muscles to determine appropriate placement and dosing. Platysma bands are an FDA-approved BOTOX Cosmetic treatment area in adults.
Relaxing the muscles that pull the brow down lets the ones that lift it win. The result is a few millimetres of lift through the tail of the brow, with no surgery and no incision.

Botox vs. Dysport

Botox and Dysport are both injectable neuromodulators used to temporarily soften expression lines by reducing targeted muscle activity. They use different formulations and dosing systems, so their units are not interchangeable. Your provider will recommend the product and dosing approach that best fit your treatment area, facial anatomy, and goals.

Botox and Dysport are priced differently per unit because their dosing units cannot be directly compared. A lower per-unit price does not necessarily mean a lower total treatment cost. Your provider will review the recommended dose and total price before treatment.

What to Expect

We book 30 to 45 minutes for a cosmetic Botox appointment, though the injecting itself takes 15 to 20 minutes. Here is what to expect, from consultation and facial mapping through treatment, results and your two week follow up.

  1. 1

    Preparation (before your visit)

Tell your provider about medications, supplements, previous neuromodulator treatments, and relevant health conditions before your appointment. Follow any specific preparation instructions provided by GENEVA and arrive with clean skin when possible.

  2. 2

    Consultation and mapping

Your provider evaluates your facial anatomy, muscle movement, expression lines, and aesthetic goals before determining the injection points and number of Botox units appropriate for your treatment.

  3. 3

The treatment (15 to 20 minutes)

We book 30 to 45 minutes so none of this is rushed. The injecting itself takes 15 to 20 minutes. The rest is time to watch how your face actually moves, agree the plan with you, and check as we go, because dose decisions are the easiest thing to get wrong at speed. Botox is injected into targeted muscles using a fine needle. Most treatments involve several small injections based on the areas being treated and your individualized dosing plan.

  1. 4

    Immediately after

Botox requires minimal downtime, and most patients can return to their normal routine after the appointment. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising can occur around injection sites. Follow your GENEVA provider’s specific aftercare instructions. Before you leave, our physician checks in on you and reviews the result.

  2. 5

Results develop (days 3 to 14)

You may begin noticing results within the first few days after Botox injections, with the appearance continuing to change as the treatment takes effect. The full effect is usually settled by day fourteen.

  3. 6

    Your two week follow up

We book a two week review for every patient. Your provider checks how the treatment settled and adjusts anything that needs it. Botox results are temporary. For forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet they can last 3 to 4 months, with treatments spaced at least 90 days apart, and we set your maintenance interval at that visit.

Botox Cost in Alpharetta

You pay per unit. We do not price by area, so a light forehead treatment costs less than a heavy one, and you are never charged for product you did not need. The ranges below are where most patients land. Final unit counts are set in the room, after your provider has watched how your face actually moves.

Botox Standard Rate

$12 / unit

New patients start at $9 per unit. Members save 10% to 15% depending on tier on every visit. Treating the upper face as one unit, forehead, frown lines and crow's feet together, a first visit usually falls between 40 and 60 units.

How many units you need depends on how strong the muscle is and how much movement you want to keep. Two people with the same lines often need very different dosing. Your injector works from the same chart as your physician, so the count is set against your history, not just the lines on your face.

Treatment Frequency

Finding Your Rhythm

Your first round

Enough to learn how your muscles answer, before anyone commits you to a longer plan.

3 to 4 mo

Ongoing maintenance

We book your next visit off returning movement, not returning lines. Treating at that earlier point holds results steadier, and for most patients the gap between visits lengthens over the first year. Botox results can last up to about four months.

Long term

Compounding benefits

Consistency compounds. A muscle that is treated regularly gets used less, and slowly loses some of its pull. A year or two into a regular schedule, most patients are using fewer units than they did at their first visit.

Combine Treatments

Your Journey, Continued

Each of these reaches something Botox cannot. Botox softens lines that come from movement. It does not replace lost volume, and it does not change the surface of your skin. That is usually why we plan them together rather than in sequence.

Skin Rejuvenation & Anti-Aging at Geneva Exosome Therapy in Alpharetta

Botox injections temporarily reduce activity in targeted facial muscles that contribute to expression lines. As those muscles relax, concerns such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet can appear smoother while natural facial movement can still be preserved with an appropriately planned treatment. BOTOX Cosmetic is FDA approved for forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, and vertical platysma bands in adults.

Botox Cosmetic is FDA approved to temporarily improve moderate-to-severe forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet, and vertical platysma bands connecting the neck and jaw. Botox may also be used cosmetically for other concerns, such as bunny lines, chin dimpling, lip flip, or facial contouring, when your provider determines treatment is appropriate.

Botox does not have to make you look frozen. The amount used and where it is placed influence how much muscle movement is reduced. At GENEVA Med, Botox injections are planned around your facial anatomy, muscle activity, and goals with the aim of softening lines while maintaining natural-looking expression.

There is no single Botox dose that applies to every cosmetic treatment. The number of units depends on the areas being treated and the approved or individualized treatment plan. For reference, the FDA-approved BOTOX Cosmetic dosing for treating forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet together totals 64 units, but your provider will determine the appropriate dose for your treatment areas and goals.

For FDA-approved treatment of forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, Botox Cosmetic results last 3 to 4 months. How long your results last can vary based on the treatment area and individual response.

You may begin noticing changes within the first few days after Botox injections. Results continue to develop as the treatment takes effect, and BOTOX Cosmetic’s current patient information evaluates full results for its major facial treatment areas at 30 days.

Botox injections require minimal downtime, and most patients can return to their normal daily routine after treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising can occur around the injection sites. Follow your GENEVA provider’s specific aftercare instructions.

Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your GENEVA injector after Botox treatment. Avoid rubbing or manipulating the treated areas unless instructed otherwise, and ask your provider when to resume exercise, skincare treatments, or other activities if you have questions about your specific treatment.

Botox and dermal fillers address different causes of facial aging. Botox temporarily reduces targeted muscle activity to soften expression lines, while dermal fillers add or restore volume in areas such as the cheeks, lips, or facial folds. Some patients may benefit from one treatment or a combination depending on their concerns and goals.

Botox injections can cause temporary injection-site effects such as pain, tenderness, swelling, redness, bleeding, or bruising. Depending on the area treated, reported adverse reactions can also include headache, eyelid or brow drooping, and other muscle-related effects. BOTOX Cosmetic also carries important warnings about rare but potentially serious effects, which your provider should review with you before treatment.

Tell your provider if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed before considering Botox. There are not adequate human data to determine the developmental risk of BOTOX Cosmetic during pregnancy, and it is not known whether BOTOX Cosmetic is present in human breast milk. Your provider can discuss what that means for your individual situation.

At GENEVA Med in Alpharetta, Botox starts at $9 per unit for new patients, with standard Botox pricing at $12 per unit. What you pay comes down to how many units your plan calls for. Your provider will review your dosing plan and total price before treatment.

GENEVA Med provides cosmetic Botox injections at 3275 North Point Pkwy #204 in Alpharetta, GA. We serve patients from Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and the greater Atlanta area with personalized Botox treatment plans based on facial anatomy, muscle movement, and aesthetic goals.
