Under Eye PRP in Alpharetta
Platelet rich plasma drawn from your own blood and injected beneath the eyes to thicken thin skin and improve quality over time. It adds no volume and changes no structure, which is exactly why it suits the patients filler does not.

- Uses only your own blood, so there is nothing synthetic and no allergic risk.
- Thickens delicate under eye skin, which reduces how much of the underlying vessel shows through.
- Adds no volume and creates no risk of puffiness, which is the common complaint after under eye filler.
Before & After
Skin texture and tone improved across a 3 session PRP series. Collagen builds over weeks 8 to 12.
What Under Eye PRP Is and How It Works

Platelet rich plasma is made from a small sample of your own blood.Spinning it in a centrifuge separates a concentrated layer of platelets, which carry the growth factors your body uses to repair tissue and build collagen. Injected into the thin skin beneath the eyes, those growth factors prompt gradual thickening and better skin quality.
The reason this matters under the eyes is anatomical. The skin there is the thinnest on the body, and much of what people call dark circles is simply the blue of underlying vessels showing through skin that has become too thin to hide them. Thickening that skin genuinely reduces the shadow. No amount of concealer or eye cream reaches that layer.
What it will not do is fill a hollow. If your under eye darkness comes from volume loss creating a shadow, or from pigment sitting in the skin, PRP is the wrong treatment and we will tell you at consultation. Identifying which of the three causes you actually have is the entire value of the appointment, because they are treated completely differently.

Is Under Eye PRP right for you?
Most healthy adults are good candidates. Here is what we typically look for, and what we would discuss with you before recommending treatment.
Under Eye PRP vs. Tear Trough Filler
These treat different causes of the same complaint. Filler replaces lost volume and fills a hollow immediately. PRP improves the quality and thickness of the skin gradually and adds nothing. Which one you need depends entirely on why your under eyes look dark.
Some patients need both, sequenced rather than combined. Filler restores the structure and PRP improves the skin sitting over it. Your provider will tell you which one your under eyes actually call for, and will say plainly if the answer is neither.

What to Expect: Before, During and After
An under eye PRP appointment at GENEVA takes 45 to 60 minutes including the draw and numbing. Here is the process from preparation through to results.
- 1
Preparation (before your visit)
Hydrate well the day before and the morning of, since it makes the draw easier and improves the yield. Eat a full meal beforehand. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen for several days, since they blunt the platelet response.
- 2
Consultation and assessment
Your provider determines why your under eyes look dark. Thin skin, hollowing and pigment look similar and are treated completely differently, so this step decides whether PRP is even the right treatment.
- 3
The blood draw (5 minutes)
A small draw comparable to a routine blood test. It goes straight into the centrifuge, which separates the platelet rich layer while your skin is being numbed.
- 4
Numbing (about 20 minutes)
Topical numbing is applied under the eyes and left to take full effect. This area is sensitive and we do not rush it.
- 5
The injections (10 to 15 minutes)
PRP is placed in small deposits beneath the eyes using a fine needle or a blunt cannula. Most patients describe brief stinging. Bruising here is common and we will tell you that before, not after. Before you leave, our physician checks in on you and reviews the result.
- 6
Your two week follow up
We book a two week review for every patient to check healing and confirm the plan for your series. Visible change comes later, which is the honest trade. Collagen builds over eight to twelve weeks and keeps improving across the series, and most patients need three sessions before judging the result.
Under Eye PRP Cost in Alpharetta
PRP is priced per session and planned as a series, because collagen building is cumulative and a single treatment rarely produces the full result.
Under Eye PRP
From $700
Indicative pricing. Members save 10% to 15% depending on tier on every visit. Most patients do a series of three spaced four to six weeks apart, priced below three single sessions.
Each session includes the blood draw and processing. We plan and price this as a series from the outset rather than selling single sessions, because one treatment on its own usually disappoints.

Treatment Frequency
How Often and Why
1×
Start the response
One session begins collagen building but produces little visible change on its own. We are upfront that this treatment works through accumulation.
4 to 6 wk
Build the series
Three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Each adds to the collagen laid down by the last, which is where the visible improvement comes from.
1 / yr
Ongoing maintenance
After the series, an annual session maintains the result. Under eye improvement tends to hold well once the skin has genuinely thickened.
