Lip Filler in Alpharetta
Shape first, volume second. Most patients who dislike their lip filler got too much of the second and not enough of the first. We treat the border, the shape and the balance between upper and lower lip, and add only as much volume as your face actually supports.

What Lip Filler Is and How It Works

LIP FILLER IS A HYALURONIC ACID GEL PLACED IN SPECIFIC PLANES OF THE LIP. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar your body already produces to hold water and give tissue its cushion, so the product integrates rather than sitting as a foreign lump, and it can be dissolved if you ever change your mind.
Where it goes matters far more than how much goes in. Product along the vermilion border sharpens definition. Product in the body of the lip adds fullness. A small amount at the corners lifts a downturned mouth. Each of those is a different decision, and treating them as one decision called more filler is exactly how lips end up looking done.
Good lip work is also proportional. The lower lip generally carries slightly more volume than the upper, and lips that outgrow the surrounding face read as obviously treated no matter how skillfully the product was placed. Your provider assesses your whole lower face before touching a syringe, and if the honest answer is that half a syringe gets you where you want to be, that is what we will use.

Is Lip Filler right for you?
Most healthy adults are good candidates. Here is what we typically look for, and what we would discuss with you before recommending treatment.
Lip Filler vs. Lip Flip
These are completely different treatments that patients regularly confuse. Filler adds volume with a hyaluronic acid gel. A lip flip uses a few units of neurotoxin to relax the muscle so the upper lip rolls slightly outward. One adds tissue, the other changes how existing tissue sits.
They combine well. A lip flip with a small amount of filler often gives a better result than filler alone, particularly for a gummy smile or a very short upper lip. Your provider will tell you which one your concern actually calls for.

What to Expect: Before, During and After
A lip filler appointment at GENEVA takes about 45 minutes including numbing. Here is the process from preparation through to maintenance.
- 1
Preparation (before your visit)
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and blood thinning supplements such as ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil and vitamin E for 3 to 5 days, since all of them increase bruising. Tell us about any cold sore history, because lip treatment can trigger an outbreak and we will prescribe antivirals.
- 2
Consultation and lip mapping
Your provider looks at your whole lower face, not just your lips, and discusses what you actually want. We will show you where product would go and be honest about how much is appropriate.
- 3
Numbing (about 20 minutes)
Strong topical numbing is applied and left to work. Our fillers also contain lidocaine. Lips are the most sensitive area we treat, so we do not rush this.
- 4
The treatment (15 to 20 minutes)
We book a full hour so none of this is rushed. Product is placed with a needle or a blunt cannula depending on the plan, working in small increments and checking symmetry throughout, with time to sit you up and look together before we add anything more.
- 5
Immediately after
Expect meaningful swelling for two to three days, and lips can look larger and less even than the final result during that time. Ice regularly, sleep with your head elevated, skip exercise for 24 hours and avoid heat. Before you leave, our physician checks in on you and reviews the result.
- 6
Your two week follow up
Swelling resolves over the first week and the true shape appears by about day fourteen. We book this review for every patient and refine then if anything needs balancing.
Lip Filler Cost in Alpharetta
Lip filler is priced per syringe. Most patients need one syringe or less, and a first treatment is very often half a syringe.
Lip Filler
$650 / syringe
Take $100 off your first syringe as a new patient. Members save 10% to 15% depending on tier on every visit. Half syringe treatment is available and is genuinely the right call for many first timers.
More syringes is not a better result. We would rather build gradually across two visits than overfill in one, and we will tell you when you have had enough.

Treatment Frequency
How Often and Why
1Ă—
Start conservatively
A half or full syringe placed well tells us how your lips hold product and how much change you actually want. Adding at a second visit is easy. Removing is a separate procedure.
6 to 12 mo
Ongoing maintenance
Lips metabolise filler faster than most areas because they move constantly and have a rich blood supply. Topping up before the shape fully disappears keeps the result consistent.
Long term
Less over time
Many long term patients find they need less product per visit once the shape is established, because each treatment builds on a base that has not fully resolved.

Your Journey, Continued
