Personalized medical weight loss · Alpharetta, GAIt was never about willpower.
Hunger that comes back louder and a metabolism that slows down are biology, not a lack of discipline. GLP-1 medication works on that biology, prescribed and followed in person by our physician.

Why diets stall
Your body defends its weight. That is not a character flaw.
2025
Obesity is a medical condition
A global commission of physicians, endorsed by more than 75 medical organizations, defined clinical obesity as a chronic illness, to be diagnosed and treated like other chronic diseases.

Hunger hormones rise
When people lose weight by dieting or exercise, the body raises ghrelin, its main hunger hormone, and the more weight lost, the bigger the rise. That extra hunger is part of why diets are so hard to keep.

Weekly
What GLP-1 changes
The medication signals fullness to the brain and slows digestion, so smaller portions feel like enough. It works on the appetite that makes diets hard to keep.

The medications
Two weekly medications. Your physician picks the one that fits you.
Weekly injection
Semaglutide
A GLP-1 medication. It slows digestion and quiets appetite, so smaller portions feel like enough. The longest track record of the two.
−14.9%average body weight, STEP-1 68 weeks, 2.4 mg weekly
Weekly injection
Tirzepatide
Acts on two appetite hormones, GLP-1 and GIP, instead of one. It produced the larger average loss in the clinical trials.
−20.9%average body weight, SURMOUNT-1 72 weeks, 15 mg weekly
Your physician chooses the medication and dose with you. Depending on what is medically appropriate, that may be an FDA-approved brand-name medication or a compounded formulation prepared by a licensed pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality.

Yes. The in-clinic new-patient consultation with our physician is free, and you are under no obligation to start.
It depends on the medication and dose your physician recommends, so we give you the exact number at your free consult, before you decide. The price stays the same as your dose goes up. Check-ins, refills and dose changes are included.

No long-term contract. You go month to month, or with a monthly membership.
Your physician decides with you, based on your labs, history, goals and how you tolerate the medication. In the clinical trials tirzepatide produced a larger average loss, and semaglutide has the longer track record.
Most patients lose weight gradually while the dose is increased over the first months. In the trials, average loss was about 15% of body weight on semaglutide at 68 weeks and about 21% on tirzepatide at 72 weeks, with diet and exercise. Individual results vary.
Yes. We offer both in-clinic and telehealth visits. Telehealth follow-ups are available to Georgia residents, and your labs and body composition are done in the clinic.
No. You can come in for your weekly injection or we teach you to do it at home. It is a small needle, once a week.
Most people regain some weight after stopping a GLP-1. We plan for that from the start with nutrition, strength and a maintenance plan, and we taper with you rather than stopping abruptly.
The most common are nausea, diarrhea, constipation and vomiting, mostly while the dose goes up. We start low and increase slowly. Less common risks include gallbladder problems and pancreatitis, which your physician reviews with you.
Anyone pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, and anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2. A history of pancreatitis also needs a careful review. Your physician screens for all of these at the consult.
Some of the weight lost on any diet is lean mass. That is why we measure body composition at your visits and include protein and strength guidance in your plan.
