Designed around
your biology.
Led by Dr. Jerath, our Harvard trained Chief Medical Officer, we first take time to listen, learn your story, and understand what your body truly needs. Each plan is crafted with intention, shaped by your goals, your lifestyle, and how your body responds to care.
For some, the right path may simply be estrogen and progesterone, dosed for you. For others, we take a closer look at thyroid, sleep, gut health, and metabolism to create a plan that works with your body.
What is hormone replacement therapy?
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT), also called menopausal hormone therapy, replaces the estrogen and progesterone your body makes less of during perimenopause and menopause. It is the most effective treatment for hot flashes and night sweats, and it helps protect your bones.
Your physician chooses the hormones, the dose and the way you take them based on your symptoms, your labs and your health history, then adjusts them as you go.
Types of hormone therapy and how they are taken
Estrogen eases hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal dryness. If you still have your uterus, progesterone is added to protect its lining.
Pills
Taken by mouth, usually once a day.
Skin patches
Worn on the skin and changed once or twice a week.
Gels, creams and sprays
Applied to the skin each day.
Vaginal estrogen
Low-dose creams, tablets or rings for dryness and discomfort.
Benefits of hormone therapy for women
For many women, treating the hormone shifts of perimenopause and menopause makes everyday life feel better again. Research supports hormone therapy for:
- Fewer hot flashes and night sweats, often the first change women notice
- Better sleep, when night sweats were waking you up
- Vaginal comfort, with less dryness and pain during intimacy
- Stronger bones, lowering the risk of osteoporosis and fractures
- Steadier mood for some women during perimenopause
Every woman responds differently. Your physician explains what to expect for you.
